Katherine Vujea

 

Katherine Vujea is available for dressage, jumping, and basic riding lessons at Sandalwood Ranch. She attended the Morven Park International Equestrian Institute under the direction of Major Lynch, an Olympic three-day coach, receiving both an instructors certificate and the "Most Improved Rider" award.

 

She taught the dressage classes for the University of Wisconsin Hoofer Riding Club for 5 years. In addition to her dressage students, she has worked with eventers and show jumpers using dressage to improve their performance over fences. She also enjoys coaching drill team.

Jen McClain Eventing

 

Improving communication and understanding between horse and rider to build better partnerships.

 

About Jen:

 

Jen has been riding for 30 years, and teaching/training for 14 years. The first 6 years of Jen's career was as a Hunter/Jumper rider where she rode a variety of sales and training horses and competed with them for the barn owner. During this time as a hunter/jumper rider, she also worked part time at a Trakehner breeding farm breaking and training babies. Jen eventually bought her own horse and got involved in Eventing and Dressage. Jen worked 3 years for a Grand Prix Dressage rider where she learned the basics of dressage, long lining/ground driving horses, and professional horse care and maintenance. During this time, she also trained/showed friends' horses in Eventing. Jen also ran her own stables for 8 years out of the Battle Creek Hunt, where she taught lessons, trained sales/show horses, and organized & hosted many horse shows and clinics. Jen started teaching again while boarding at a friend’s barn. Jen really enjoys helping people learn to communicate better with their horses and help people have better overall relationships with their horses; no matter what discipline they enjoy.
